About my book: The Light Within The Wound

By

My memoir, The Light Within The Wound, was published by Pegasus Publishers in 2026. It is an honest account of how I moved through profound personal and spiritual challenges, and found my way back to healing and peace. I am not a celebrity author. I am a wife, a mum to three teenagers, and for almost 17 years I was a Corporate Account Manager at Dell Computers. After Dell came nearly a decade in healthcare telesales, and today I work as a Healthcare Assistant in Dublin by day, supporting people in their own homes across the community. The book was written in the spare hours around all of that: late evenings, early mornings, and the quiet moments when something inside me finally said, it''s time. Why I wrote it For years I had quietly set the spiritual side of my life aside. Life was busy. There were children to raise, mortgages to pay, careers to hold together, and a private weight I was carrying that I did not feel I could put down. Like a lot of people, I kept moving. I told myself I was fine. I was not fine. What I write about in this book is what it actually looked like to come back to myself: the anxiety, the depression, the loss of a sense of purpose, the long shadow of past hurt. I write about the moment I stopped trying to outrun any of it and turned to face it instead. That is when the spiritual side I had buried began to come back, gently, and I eventually qualified as an Angelic and Spiritual Healer. Who this book is for This book is for you if: You carry anxiety or depression that you have learned to hide well. You have lost your sense of purpose and you are not sure how to name it. You are living in the long shadow of past hurt, trauma or abuse and you have been told to "just move on". You have a quiet feeling that there is more to you than the role you are currently playing, at work, at home, or for everyone else. You are curious about the spiritual side of life but you do not feel you fit any particular box. This is not a polished self-help book. There is no five-step framework, no "morning routine that will change your life". It is a real story, told honestly, by a woman who has lived it. What''s inside The book walks through the experiences that shaped me: the career years, the private weight, the breaking points, and the slow, ordinary process of healing. It looks at how generational patterns, soul ties and old wounds quietly run our lives until we are willing to look at them. And it looks at what becomes possible when we do. Woven through it is the work I now do in my spare time, from my studio in Clondalkin, Dublin 22, under the name Connect. I offer Angelic Healing for people who need gentle balance and reconnection, and Spiritual Healing for those carrying heavier weight, including cord-cutting, generational patterns, and the impact of past or current trauma and abuse. I have worked with people aged 14 to 80, from gentle wellbeing to recovery from deep trauma, and the book is, in many ways, the story behind that work. One idea My whole approach is built on one idea: when you learn to love yourself again, you have something real to give to everyone around you. That is what this book is really about. Not perfection. Not a polished version of healing. Just a way back to yourself, told by someone who has walked it.
